| Beers criteria is an useful tool for reducing potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) in older adults,which was first published in 1991 by Beers.Since 2011,the American geriatrics society (AGS) has been the steward of the criteria and has produced updates on a 3-year cycle.It was updated by AGS in 2019 recently.The goal of Beers criteria is to improve care of older adults by avoiding exposure to PIMs. |
