| Intestinal microbiota is involved in host energy metabolism,which can be exploited as a novel diagnostic,prognostic and therapeutic target of metabolic diseases.The present review focuses on the possible mechanisms and research evidence of intestinal microbiota related to metabolic homeostasis and major metabolic diseases.We also discuss the factors influenced gut micorbiota and the progress of therapeutic approaches of metabolic diseases aimed at reshaping the gut microbial ecosystem. |
