| During aging,the brain exhibits many hallmarks of aging at the cellular and molecular levels.These alterations induce that the functional capabilities of the brain decline progressively during aging,and render the aging brain vulnerable to neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer disease and Parkinson disease.Emerging findings are suggesting that new strategies are using to decelerate brain aging.Here we provide an overview of the cellular and molecular biology of brain aging,how mechanisms of aging impact neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer′s and Parkinson′s diseases,and new strategies for targeting brain aging intervention. |
