| Thyroid related ophthalmopathy (hyperthyroidism exophthalmos) is one of the most common orbital diseases in adults,which belongs to autoimmune diseases.Most patients have thyroid dysfunction,but orbital disease may also occur when the thyroid function is normal.Thyroid associated ophthalmopathy is a common cause of monocular or binocular protrusion.This article will summarize the pathogenesis,clinical characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of graves orbital disease. |
