| As one of the emerging technologies of tumor radiation therapy,compared with traditional photon therapy,proton therapy has superior dose deposition characterized by Bragg peak,which can effectively focus and kill tumor cells,while avoiding or reducing the damage to normal tissues around the tumor as much as possible.This article introduces the history,principles,devices,irradiation techniques,clinical applications and future development of proton therapy. |
