| The coexistence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) aggravates the risk of liver fibrosis and cardiovascular disease.Peroxisome proliferators-activated receptors (PPAR) pan agonist sitagliptin sodium has become a potential therapeutic option by regulating glucose and lipid metabolism and reducing inflammatory responses.This article reviews its molecular mechanism and analyzes the efficacy and safety of monotherapy and combination therapy based on relevant clinical trials,the aim is to provide a theoretical basis for optimizing the treatment of T2DM with MAFLD using sitagliptin. |
